Klang MP Charles Santiago has challenged Health Minister S Subramaniam to state his stand on the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA).

Speaking to FMT, the vocal TPPA critic said the chapter on Intellectual Property Rights may affect the nation’s access to affordable medicine and therefore the health of citizens.

“So far the Health Ministry has been quiet on the TPPA, but it’s about time that it take a stand because the agreement is going to affect the people’s health in a huge way,” he said.
