The rights of the Bumiputera contractors will be protected if Malaysia decides to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA).
Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, said the country would maintain and defend the policy of giving 30 per cent of the contracts to Bumiputeras.
